The Culture of Hope CCC

We Believe In...

THE ETERNAL GOD

We believe in the unity of the true and living God who is eternal, self-existent and self-revealing, who is one being -Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. God has all power, His power always has a purpose and His purpose is about people. He is passionately in love with His creation...and He desires relationship with man.
Mark 12:29; Matt 28:19

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who was and is the eternal Word of God (John 1:1) that He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, miraculous ministry, substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, glorious ascension and abiding intercession.
Matt 1:23 ; Heb 7:26 ; 1 Peter 2:22 ; Acts 2:22 ; 10:38 ; 2 Cor 5:21 ; Heb 9:12 ; Luke 24:39; 1 Cor 15:4; Acts 1:9; Eph 4:8-10; Rom 8:34

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is personally with every believer, empowering them to their fullness in God. The Holy Spirit comes from the heart of the Father and the Son, is His essence and is ever present and active in the work of convicting and regenerating the sinner and sanctifying the believer into all truth.
John 14:26; 16:8-11; 1 Peter 1:2; Rom 8:14

THE AUTHORITY AND POWER OF THE BIBLE

We affirm the divine inspiration, truthfulness and authority of both the Old and New Testament Scriptures in its entirety as the only written and unchangeable word of God. The Bible is the highest manifestation of God himself on the face of the earth. We also affirm the power of God's word to bring salvation, illuminate the believer's mind and bring revelation to the church.
1 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; John 10:35; Isaiah 55:11; 1Cor 1:21 ; Rom 1:16 ; Matt 5:17

SALVATION OF MAN

We believe salvation is received through the repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe salvation is received through the repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This experience is also known as the new birth and is an instantaneous and complete operation of the Holy Spirit whereupon the believing sinner is regenerated, justified and adopted into the family of God and becomes a new creation in Christ and an heir to eternal life.
Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; 1 Peter 1:23; 1 John 5:1

THE CHURCH

The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit. All believers are written in Heaven and an integral part of the general assembly.
Eph 1:22 -23; 2:22 ; Heb 12:23

GIVING AND STEWARDSHIP

To live is to give--in tithes, offerings and all life's resources. We steward what we have been given of time, gifts and finances, seeing these as being from God's hand, yet as ours to obediently distribute.
Gen. 28:22; Lev. 27:30; Deut. 15:10; Ps. 15; Prv. 3:9-10, 23, 11:25; Mal. 3:8-12; 2 Cor. 9:6-12

WATER BAPTISM

We believe that baptism by full immersion in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is required by Christ upon all who have repented and have believed and that it is symbolic of our identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Matt 28:19,20;Acts 10:47,48; 2:38,39;Col 2:12

THE LORD'S SUPPER

Consisting of partaking of elements of bread and the fruit of the vine as a memorial of His suffering and death and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Cor 11:26 ) and is encouraged upon all believers. We believe Christ is present in the communion but not due to any change in the elements.
Luke 22:15-20

THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the bestowing on the believer power to be an effective witness for Christ. This experience is distinct from the new birth; received by faith, and is normally accompanied by gifts of the Spirit, the most common of which is speaking in tongues. We believe all the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today.
Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4,5,8; 2:1-4; 8:15-19; 11:14-17; 19:1-7

DIVINE HEALING

We believe that divine healing for the body as with all redemptive blessings, has been provided for us by the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Exod 15:26; Isaiah 53:4; Matt 8:16 -17

THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

We believe in the imminent and personal return of Jesus Christ to fully establish His kingdom on earth, and to gather His people to Himself.
John 14:1-3; James 5:7-8; Titus 2:13; 1 Thess 4:15-17; 2 Thess 2:1; 1 John 2:28

RACIAL HARMONY

Under God our Creator, ethnic diversity is respected; and under Christ our Redeemer, all humanity is invited to answer the Bible's call to the values and virtues of the Kingdom of God...Mutual respect and honor toward all people.
1 Cor. 12:13; Gal. 3:27-29; Eph. 2:11-22; Col. 3:10-11
